Where Leaders Are Made. Since 2017, BSR has been Africa ’s home of intellect, courage, and sportsmanship. We don’t just run competitions. We build thinkers, speakers, writers, players and changemakers.

Founded in 2017 by Mduduzi Ncube, Bulawayo Schools Rumble started as a simple idea: young people deserve stages that challenge their minds the same way sports challenge their bodies. Today, BSR is a family of 5+ flagship championships across debate, public speaking, quiz, spelling bee, creative writing, and chess. We work with primary schools, high schools, and universities. Our mission is simple: promote sportsmanship, competition, excellence, and rapid intellectual growth amongst young people. We believe every child has a voice worth hearing. Every argument deserves a fair hearing. Every question deserves curiosity. That’s why our tournaments are built on 3 pillars: rigorous logic meets tournament-tested forensics.
