BSDR is the heartbeat of high school debating in Africa. Since its inception, it has grown into the continent’s most anticipated 2-day tournament. BSDR brings together top debaters from government, mission, private, and rural schools to compete in rigorous WS style and Public Speaking formats. We created BSDR for one reason: to give every student a fair shot at proving their ideas matter. Whether you’re from Townsend or Namibia, if you can argue or write, you belong here. By name, the tournament will never leave Bulawayo, The city of Kings and Queens, KoMfazi ushayindoda, is a permanent host of the event.
